Firm Biography
Jasicki Tax was founded in the 50’s when Charles H. Jasicki “Grandpa Charley” started doing income taxes on the kitchen table in Northeast Minneapolis. The business grew slowly through the 50’s and 60’s, until the early 70’s when Charley brought his sons in the business, first Dennis and then a few years later Ronald Jasicki (Ron) started doing taxes. During the 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s Charley, Ron, and Dennis had full time jobs and did taxes part-time, evenings and weekends. Charley retired in the mid 80’s leaving the business to Ron and Dennis.
During the early days of the business, growth was limited to the number of appointments that could be taken in the evening and weekends, but in 1992 Ron was laid off. He took advantage of that opportunity and started doing taxes fulltime. A few years later Dennis retired from his full time job to do taxes fulltime.
During the late 90’s the business grew very rapidly through referrals. In the late 90’s Dennis brought his daughter Beth Pearson into the business, and Ron invited his son Charles E. Jasicki “Chuck” and daughter in-law Lori Jasicki to join the team. Sister Laurie Johnson and Dennis’s son Dennis Jr. were brought in to help answer phones, enter data and learn the business. In 2004 Dennis’s daughter in-law Kim Jasicki joined the team. The business continued to grow at the Northeast Minneapolis location, and soon ran out of room.
Jasicki Tax & Financial, Inc. was formed in 2004 by Charles E Jasicki and in September, moved to Champlin. Charles E Jasicki also became a license broker with H D Vest in 2004 to add financial services to the tax business. With 2 locations approximately 5000 taxes were prepared in the 2007 tax season by the Jasicki family.
